- Greetings,
-
- I'm having a real problem with trying to ftp files from a Linux box that is
- connected to my Cisco 2511 via a USR Courier. When I ftp get a file from the
- Linux box it will run for a few mins. then the modem will hang. I can't tell
- who's doing it because there are no errors logged! The only indication is the
- log states: pppd[102]: ipcp down. I watch the lines on the Cisco and I see no
- errors or overruns.
-
- One interesting thing to note is that the sames file (an 8 megger) can be
- successfully put to the same Linux box. I'm stumped because the system
- appears to work fine otherwise. Something to note though, the RD light on the
- Courier is on solid when the file is being retrieved. The modem does not seem
- to drop CTS but the Cisco doesn't report any overruns. When I put the file
- the CTS light does flicker indicating the remote modem is dropping CTS during
- the transfer.
-
- Any ideas are appreciated.
-
- Thanks,
-
- Craig
